Latina Pride
One of the best demonstrations of character that seems common among many Latina women, especially Mexican women, is that they selflessly reserve their pride for their husbands’ and children’s accomplishments instead of for themselves. Mexican women in general seem to be humble not only about the way they act, but the way they look, too. I can hardly remember ever having seen any Mexican women in person who wore a lot of makeup. They seem to embrace the cause of natural beauty, and their husbands seem to love them all the better in return. They are a fine example in a society that too often strives for the unrealistic “airbrushed” look.
