What a Difference a (Few Thousand) Days Make
The year I started my sophomore year in high school I was consumed with the idea of being part of the “in” crowd.
Mostly that meant hanging out the most popular girls in school and spending hours talking about important stuff. Topics covered everything from the hottest nail polish to the most effective acne treatments.
Although these things did concern me, I soon realized that the group I was hanging around wasn’t exactly a group of rocket scientists. I soon grew weary of cosmetic-centered conversation.
Like most people I eventually figured out my priorities and developed friends with a little more depth. And amazingly, I found it’s possible to talk about skin care and still be able to chat about art.
